About University of Northampton

Come to the University of Northampton and you’ll notice they do things a little differently.

As one of the UK’s youngest universities, they’re already leading the way in creating positive social impact. They’ve earned numerous awards for their efforts, but what truly matters to them is giving their students and graduates the chance to make their own mark on the world.

They aim to reshape what higher education can be. This vision led them to build an entirely new university from the ground up, designed around how students actually learn—not just how they’re expected to learn. This is brought to life at their Waterside Campus, which opened in September 2018.

Above all, they want your time studying with them to help you transform your own life and positively impact others, no matter how big or small that change may be.

Scholarships Offered

The University of Northampton International Scholarship

The University of Northampton International Scholarship Scheme is a merit-based scholarship that provides up to a 30% reduction in tuition fees for every year of your study (excluding placement years). All full-time Undergraduate and Postgraduate taught courses delivered on campus fall within the scheme and you will be considered for a scholarship on the basis of your academic achievement.

You do not have to apply for this scholarship separately from your initial application and you will be informed of the outcome in your offer letter.

The International Graduate Scholarship

The International Graduate Scholarship offers a 30% fee discount to graduates of the University of Northampton who studied on campus in the UK. This scholarship is available to you if you are wishing to study a Master’s course and have achieved a second class degree from a three or four year Bachelor’s degree. Top Up graduates with a second class degree will also be eligible for 30% graduate scholarship.

You do not have to apply for this scholarship separately from your initial application and you will be informed of the outcome in your offer letter.

Government Scholarship Schemes

We are a proud participant in a number of UK and overseas government scholarship schemes. These schemes, including the Chevening Scholarship, Commonwealth Scholarship and Marshall Scholarship (this scholarship is aimed at students from the USA only), provide opportunities for students otherwise unable to afford the full costs of an overseas education. We are listed on a variety of overseas government sponsorship lists. If you are seeking to study with us under one of these schemes, check the Ministry of Education website for your home country for eligibility criteria.

The UK Government website also offers guidance on postgraduate scholarships currently available to international students.

Chevening Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme makes awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study postgraduate courses at UK universities. For further information, please visit the Chevening Scholarship website.

Commonwealth Scholarships

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK awards over 900 scholarships and fellowships for postgraduate study and professional development to Commonwealth citizens each year. For further information, please visit the Commonwealth Scholarships website.
